I like to think of each and every one of us as being, in our own ways, storytelling machines. Who knows. Maybe that's our purpose in this silly and perplexing existence of ours. For me, the concept rings particularly true, as the simple act of writing, expressing, sharing, conjuring, storytelling—whatever you prefer to call it—never fails to bring to my humble heart an amount of joy that no other pursuit has yet to replicate. Throughout it all, whether it has been songwriting, biographical services, feature writing, or the weaving of historical-fiction novels, the humble act of writing reliably reminds me that I am nothing more than a happy little storytelling machine. I wouldn't have it any other way. And since, for whatever reason, you're still reading these words, I hope that the stories I tell bring to you as much joy as they reliably do me.
